Came across this adorable book called ‘Susheela’s Kolams’. Anyways a current pet subject for me so surely caught my attention. Very simple lucid storyline of a little girl from Tamil Nadu who loves Kolams (Rangoli or Alpana). It’s about her passion for Kolams and how she perceives Kolams as being beyond just a medium for floor art. Check out how she entwines Kolams with trains, kites and finally the Air Force. Amazing illustrations too and I am so inspired by few of the Kite Kolams. My son loved this so very much especially the Kites and Air Force angle! Humbly priced at Rs 30 and available at Pratham books.
